# How can I tell if a product might be toxic?

We list pertinent product safety information on our labels:
 - AP means Approved
 - CL means Caution Label
 - PROP 65 refers to warnings required by the state of California

Review our [Safety Data Sheets](https://danielsmith.com/safety-data-sheets/) (located on our website under Resources) for more details. If and when  government regulation(s) for product safety change, we update the SDS and labels accordingly.
