Giovanni Balzarani ist ein italienischer Maler, der an der Kunstakademie in Rom Malerei studierte. Bereits mit neun Jahren entdeckte er die Welt der Aquarellmalerei und erforschte während seines Studiums weitere Maltechniken. Er etablierte sich in der internationalen Aquarellszene und wurde mehrfach ausgezeichnet, unter anderem von der Hong Kong International Watercolor Biennale, dem Budapest International Watercolor Festival und Fabriano in Watercolor. Sein Werk konzentriert sich hauptsächlich auf Stillleben im hyperrealistischen Stil, beeinflusst von Pop-Art und Fotorealismus-Künstlern wie Andy Warhol, Ralph Goings und Chuck Close.
