A professor with the passion of a student, Besnik Xhemaili lives and works as an artist in Kosovo and is a very active enthusiast in many watercolor events around the world.
Working with both Fine Arts and Architecture students at University, he teaches watercolor techniques and shares many of his experiences from different countries around the world.
Besnick has won many international awards for his contemporary abstract and non-figurative watercolor work. In 2020, he opened his own gallery – IWS BXH Gallery in Kosovo where he curates a variety of individual and group exhibitions.
His watercolor paintings are mainly done in a contemporary style, applying brush strokes and his unique color palette in abstract expressive forms, but he has also shown his drawing skills by painting different portraits and figurative work.
