ジョヴァンニ・バルザラーニ recently demonstrated some creative techniques during a live Zoom session, using PrimaTek™ Watercolors to create lovely marbled texture effects. After wetting his heavyweight watercolor paper, he added random strokes of one color at a time, taking advantage of PrimaTek’s beautiful granulating qualities. He chose a variety of triads to show how nicely three colors can blend together on the paper.

Other techniques included lifting and shifting wet color with a wood skewer, splattering colors and using a liner brush to create thin veins, as seen in Italian marble. Giovanni also showed how the veins can look as negative space within the colors, using ダニエル・スミス マスキング液, which comes with multiple applicator tips for making thick or thin lines.
