I have been using Daniel Smith art materials for well over 30 years. I enjoy these fabulous pigments that I could find nowhere else. I loved what I found in them, I realized that I had so much yet to discover. The PrimaTek line fascinated me as soon as they arrived. Lapis Lazuli was my love.

In the published catalog with alluring artwork on the covers, I noticed that these artists were achieving amazing things. I studied the properties of each color on my own. I made color charts and mixes. I cut out each little square and placed them in an order for my “color wheel” and color theory with properties and facts I discovered. I ended up making my own color circle study books with acetate overlays.

Purchasing over $300 of the watercolors and oil paints was a landmark. My work has changed so much, I am always learning. Let the paint teach you what it knows, partner with it. I look forward to a wonderful future. I am now moving into a whole new world with my art because of these paints.
