Gerda studied art in Antwerp /Belgium and has been working as an artist and teacher for 35 years.She teaches intuitive and analytical watercolor and drawing classes and seminars in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and on cruise ships. Her work has been featured in several magazines and in many exhibitions around the world, and she has won several awards, both nationally and internationally.

Her technique is full of light, contrast and structure. She enjoys creating colorful indoor and outdoor themes like street views, working people, landscapes and still life. Gerda leads a watercolor painting group called Dum Pingoo Vivoo, which means “as long I paint, I live,” and she has published a book of her work.
