Dear DS Family,

I call you my family. At 42 years old, I finally gathered up the courage to learn how to paint. Many said that I should start with cheap sets, in case I don’t end up liking it. I’m grateful that I didn’t listen. I found a new world to heal my anxieties and fears thru painting. I found Sandy Allnock and Thomas Schaller and continue to be inspired by their work and learn so much from them. I love using Daniel Smith’s colors with my Arches – best combo! I feel a sense of belonging as we use all the same materials while I strive to reach my personal best. After 2 years, I received an invite to join a gallery. Daniel Smith watercolors and paints changed my life and became a beacon of standard for my favorite artists’ work as well as mine.

So, on your 50th year, I want to thank you for everything you do. You all make a difference in our lives. More power to you all!
