This year I had the opportunity to travel to Bologna, Italy for Fabriano In Acquarello and my experience was simply amazing! The highlight for me was when I received the Young Artist Award from Anna Massinissa, the curator of Fabriano In Acquarello (pictured above, between Teresa Jorda Vito and myself). It’s a very exclusive recognition given to a talented artist who has done a special service to watercolor world.

We had all been waiting for this exhibition for a long time and our energy was incredible – meeting old friends and new, hanging out together and sharing our passion for painting. Here’s Giovanni Balzarani and working beside me with other artists on a long painting outdoors.

I loved when John Cogley did his weekly Zoom meeting with all of us there!

I also enjoyed participating in demos alongside Michael Solovyev, Lea Nixon and Atul Panase.
