Based in Dubai, Atul Panase has been making art since childhood and has a Master’s degree in Applied Arts – Illustration. For the past several years he has been passionate about watercolor and has won many awards for his work in exhibits around the world. As an artist, teacher and curator, Atul believes that creating something with spontaneity, while establishing a meaningful conversation, can give happiness to the masses – as well as to himself.

“Most of my artworks are based on portraits or an illustration with a contemporary approach. I often like starting with a monochromatic rendering, such as black and white, then show some colorful parts within the compositions Applying colors with different values to bring harmony among the hues creates more interest for the audience.

I can’t stick to just one artistic style all the time because I am a teacher, hence I keep trying to come up with new ideas, mediums and techniques to share. I also try to present a social message through my paintings.”
