Prafull Sawant has long been considered one of the foremost realistic artists in the world.  He is best known for his plein air atmospheric landscapes that capture the light to create the mood and space of the scene.  He is highly sought-after around the world – he has visited over 20 different countries to conduct demonstrations, workshops, lectures and exhibits.

He has had 15 solo exhibitions and over 100 international exhibitions by invitation, with 45 awards and scholarships at both national and state levels. He was the first artist from India to win the 148th International Exhibition of American Watercolor Society award held in New York.
