Rafael Pita, a native of Porto Seguro, Brazil, went in search of art schools at the age of 18. He has attended Tomie Ohtake Institute, Estúdio Impacto and Quanta Academy of Arts. During his art career, he has participated in several exhibitions and received awards for his work. His illustrations have also been published in Brazilian magazines and books.

Currently, he teaches art classes to thousands of students online which feature his signature method of Unlocking Watercolor. Rafael also conducts in-person watercolor workshops throughout Brazil.
