Tomáš Fišera

Tomáš Fišera was born in the Czech Republic into an artistic family and has been passionately painting since childhood. He studied graphic design in Prague, and for the past several years, he has specialized exclusively in watercolor.

He mainly creates landscapes and urban scenes en plein air. He captures light dynamically and expressively, and strives to convey the emotional message and mood of each place, allowing viewers to project their own perspectives through his work.

In recent years, his award-winning works have been featured in many international exhibitions.Tomáš teaches workshops and is a co-founder of an annual international watercolor festival – Prague Plein Air.

“Being able to capture a scene spontaneously and relatively quickly in a given moment is very important to me. That’s why Daniel Smith’s pigments suit me so well, due to their intensity, richness and natural shades. I also love textures – the granulation of certain shades are wonderful to use in contrast, combined with the lightness and purity that allow even the smallest details to stand out.”
