Emma Vande Voort, originally from northwest Washington, is currently studying biology and art at Dordt University in Iowa with the intent to pursue a career in scientific illustration. Most of her paintings are either nature or landscape focused, and she also creates a variety of portrait and animal paintings that are popular for commissions.

In addition to making art, Emma loves hiking, gardening, spending time outside with her family (along with a dog, sheep and chickens), and cozying up in the house with coffee or tea and a good movie.
