Patrcia Vargas

I am Jérôme Guerry, an artist from Grenoble, France, where I studied at the Beaux-Arts.

My career is a mosaic of creative roles: decorator, visual artist, graphic designer, cartographer, animatronics artist, scenographer. As an independent designer, I have collaborated with a variety of public and private structures, always in search of artistic expression.

Today, I am primarily a professional designer and painter, diving deeply into the delicate waters of watercolor. My work, figurative, captures the essence of expressive portraits and subtle landscapes, weaving a web of visual narratives.

Once limited to painting, publishing, television and film, my gaze now extends into digital horizons, exploring the shifting borders of web content.

My creative process is a meticulous dance with images captured by my smartphone, screenshots or downloads. These visual fragments, chosen for their intrinsic narration, composition and chromatic palette, become the fertile soil of my pictorial projects.

Anchored in the Western pictorial culture, I let my sensitivity and imagination dialogue with watercolor.

The awareness of the permanent influence of my contemporaries and predecessors enriches my psychic space with archetypes and representations, which I combine with my immediate experience to create unique works.

I am an image maker, a witness of my time, seeking to convey complex information through a pictorial medium. My art plays with the filters of human complexion: education, lived, civilization culture.

My message, anchored in the belief in the incredible human potential, is an invitation to explore the relevance of our perception in the face of the incessant flows of information from the real or the web.
