Born in Vietnam, Minh Dam emigrated with his parents to Poland at the age of 7. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Warsaw University of Technology. He began his journey with watercolor in 2004, then in 2007 he started his career in teaching with watercolor as his main focus. He is a co-founder of the Polish Watercolorist Association and became one of the most influential watercolor artists in Poland. He has won a number of prestigious awards at international exhibitions and he’s had several solo shows, both in Poland and Vietnam. Minh recently returned to Vietnam to lecture at the Hanoi Architectural University, sharing his knowledge and experience with future generations.
“My paintings are all about stories and feelings. I’m searching for solutions to either tell my own tale from the past or express a vision for the future. Often my inspiration is related to places I have visited or the people around me.”
