Made with authentic rock from the Arizona desert, this timeless color-lightfast, richly pigmented and absolutely permanent-ties your work to the work of countless generations of southwestern artisans in a way that demands to be experienced. Onze chemicus begint met een mengsel van 10 delen water op 1 deel verf (in gewicht) in het palet en schildert de bovenste helft van het staaltje gelijkmatig met een ronde kwast om de kleur en eigenschappen van de verf te laten zien. Voor de onderste helft doopt hij een platte kwast van 19 mm (¾ inch) slechts één keer in de verf en brengt de kleur vervolgens in strepen aan tot de kwast droog is. Dit laat de tint en het gedrag van de kleur door middel van een wash zien. We gebruiken deze staaltjes voor kleuraanpassing tijdens het productieproces.
