Anything is possible with sunshine and a little pink. – Lily Pulitzer
Quinacridone Pink is a low-staining watercolor with vivid clarity and intensity. It’s perfect for blending with blues to get a variety of purple shades – from deep and dusty with Indigo to rich and clear with Indanthrone Blue.
For even more versatility, dilute it in a wash with warmer Quinacridone colors to create realistic skin tones. The color mixes shown here will vary depending on the ratio of each color used and the amount of water added – the potential combinations are endless!

Here’s more inspiration from Lorena Massa:
“Quinacridone Pink is a fundamental color of my palette. I immediately fell in love with it! I use it to create all my skin tones – its intensity and other characteristics make it irreplaceable. It’s very bright, transparent and most importantly – lightfast. I know that even after the years go by, the color integrity of my work will remain the same. I love painting children’s portraits – their soft and smooth skin is enchanting. It’s not always easy to create the freshness that characterizes children’s skin, but here the Quinacridone Pink helps me. Thanks to its pigment composition made from small particles of color, I can make uniform color drafts.”

Letizia Monacelli Balzarani created this custom mixing chart featuring Quinacridone Pink blended with eleven different single pigment colors, which yield some very interesting mixes in shades of coral, berry, lavender and purple. She then added two different shades of white to each mix to see how the colors softened into lovely pastels.
